Rio Olympics: Australia releases 'retro candy stripe' Games uniform

Australia's athletes have revealed "retro candy stripe" uniforms for this year's opening ceremony at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games
An outfit of mint green and white striped blazers, yellow ties and white bottoms were unveiled at a Sydney launch, 127 days out from the ceremony at the Maracana Stadium.

Team Chef de Mission Kitty Chiller said the Olympic uniform, and particularly the iconic blazer, was "an integral part of being an Olympian".

"Our athletes have trained for years, for decades ... to earn the right to have that blazer and it's a blazer that they will keep, they'll treasure and they'll wear for the rest of their lives," she said.
