 SIMBU TRIUMPHANT AT THE NSC AWARDS Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports Ambassador Dr. Pindi Chana presenting Alphonce Felix Simbu with the prize of the Best Sportsman of 2022. Simbu also won the Best Male Athlete award while Failuna Abdi Matanga was the Best Female Athlete.     Executive Secretary of Tanzania Sports Council (NSC) Ms. Neema Msitha giving details of the award, strategy and criteria used to find the winners. Simon Robert Naali was born in Hanang District Manyara Region on March 9, 1966 – and passed away on August 13, 1994. He was a Tanzanian marathon runner. He finished eleventh at the 1993 World Championships in 2:19:30 hours. In addition he won the bronze medal at the 1990 Commonwealth Games.
