Restituta Joseph Kemi: Tanzania Athletics - last "IRON" lady

  Restituta Joseph Restituta Joseph Kemi was born on July 30th 1971 in Singida Tanzania, she is one of long-distance famous women runners in Tanzania.  She twice carried the flag for Tanzania at the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympic Games in 2000 Sydney Australia and 2004 Athens Greece.  Restituta was recognized on many international events including the following: - 1997 and 1999 winner of the Corrida de Langueux race - 1998 World Cross Country Championships Marrakech, Morocco 5th place                        - 1999 World Cross Country Championships Belfast, United Kingdom  5th place                   Restituta Joseph "The Coach" - World Championships Seville, Spain 13th 10,000 m              - 2000 World Cross Country Championships Budapest, Hungary 22nd                       - 2001 World Cross Country Championships Ostend, Belgium 13th       - 2002 World Half Marathon Championships Bristol, United Kingdom 15th Half marathon   - 2002 Half Marathon Afr

Phaustin Baha Sulle: The first sub 60 minutes Half Marathoner in Tanzania

Phaustin Baha Sulle Phaustin Baha Sulle was born on May 30th 1982 in Manyara (then aka) Arusha. He won the silver medal at the 2000 World Half Marathon Championships where he refused to receive his award until he saw Tanzania Flag displayed as other countries. John Yuda Msuri: Hardly noticeable but his story tells it all

John Yuda Msuri of Tanzania head to head with Ethiopia's Kenenisa Bekele John Yuda Msuri is a retired Tanzania long distance runner who until now hold two National Records in the 5000m and 10000m. Born on June 9th 1979 in Dodoma Tanzania, Yuda started running after he was motivated by seeing other athlete's performances and fame. During his career he won several international open competitions as well as medals when representing his country. Mr. John Yuda Msuri won several medals as follows;      2002 World Half Marathon Championships - bronze medal     2002 World Cross Country Championships - silver medal      2002 Commonwealth Games - bronze medal (10,000 m)     2001 World Half Marathon Championships - bronze medal     2001 East African Championships - gold medal (10,000 m) Powered by; Orege Safari and Tours    

Gidamis Shahanga: The only Tanzania's double Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist
