Rio de Janeiro: Galeao fix before 2016 Olympic Games
Arup has assisted Airports of the Future consortium formed by Brazilian construction firm Odebrecht and Singaporean operator Changi Airport Group in winning the auction of the Rio de Janeiro International Airport (Galeao). The amount offered, $8 billion (BRL 19 billions) was about 294% of the minimum bid of $2.4 billion (BRL 4.82 billion). Airport concession is for 25 years.
