Arup has assisted Airports of the Future consortium formed by Brazilian construction firm Odebrecht and Singaporean operator Changi Airport Group in winning the auction of the Rio de Janeiro International Airport (Galeao).  The amount offered, $8 billion (BRL 19 billions) was about 294% of the minimum bid of $2.4 billion (BRL 4.82 billion). Sweden will loan Brazil several Gripen NG fighter jets, the kind the South American country recently purchased from Swedish firm Saab, in time for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, a media report said.
