Training Center: Tanzania inahitaji kituo kikukwa cha michezo yote

Zambia Olympic Youth Development Center   Mwaka 2004 Tanzania ilipata bahati ya kuahidiwa kujengewa kituo kikubwa cha kisasa cha michezo ( Tanzania Olympic Youth Development Center ) ambayo ingegharimu USD 10million lakini viongozi wa TOC kwa kushirikiana na viongozi wasio wazalendo walikwamisha. Kilichotakiwa na IOC ni kuhakikishiwa kwamba eneo kubwa lisilo na utata wa kisheria linapatikana ikiwa na vithibitisho vya kiumiliki ili hapo baadaye kusiwepo na utata ( contradiction ) za kisheria. Bila aibu wala uzalendo kamati ya Olimpiki Tanzania (TOC) ilihakikisha kwamba kituo hicho hakijengwi kwa sababu ya wao kuhofia masilahi yao ya upatikanaji wa tenda za kimichezo katika center zao walizojiwekezea. Kwa mfano:  kama mtu anapata tenda ya Copa Coca-Cola ya Tsh: Bilioni kila mwaka alafu atawezaje kupata kiasi hicho cha pesa iwapo taifa litakuwa na center yake? JESHI la Wananchi Tanzania (JWTZ), ni miongoni mwa taasisi ambazo kutokana na asili ya utendaji wake, imekuwa ikishiriki katika michezo mbalimbali ndani na nje ya nchi. Kuna madhumuni yanatoa kipaumbele cha michezo jeshini. Baadhi yake ni kujenga na kukomaza afya ya mwili, akili na maisha bora kwa mafisa na askari. Kujenga ukakamavu, nidhamu na uwezo  binafsi wa kujihami katika jamii na taifa kwa ujumla. Hali kadhalika kujenga tabia ya ushirikiano, upendo, umoja na uzalendo miongoni mwa wanajeshi wenyewe na jamii nzima.  Aidha, imechangia sana katika kutambua, kubaini na kuendeleza vipaji kwa wanajeshi na wananchi kwa ujumla, kuwapatia burudani na kuitangaza Tanzania kimataifa, pamoja na  kujenga uhusiano mzuri wa majeshi ya nchi rafiki,   na mengine duniani. Kenyans Clean Sweep Kilimanjaro Marathon, Tanzania trails far back

Kenyan runners turned the 2014 Kilimanjaro Marathon into one of their own training drills by sweeping both the men's and women's full-distance races. Race hosts Tanzania managed a top prize in women's half marathon as Jackline Cynthia grabbed top prize. The rest of the top ten pack consisted of eight Kenyans and one Ethiopian. Cynthia, a Tanzania People's Defence Forces (TPDF) employee, took 2m/- in the event that also drew runners from Austria, Australia, Belgium, Britain, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, South Africa, Sweden, the United States, Zambia and Zimbabwe. In the men's 42.195-kilometre race, it was an all Kenyan affair as David Ruto, Julias Kilimo and Victor Serem chalked up a one-two-three finish for the east African nation. Ruto clocked two hours 16 minutes 04 seconds to win the 4m/- top prize but he failed to beat the course record as much anticipated, following a change of routes which looks to be an improvement on the previous ones. KOCHA wa Kombaini ya Mkoa wa Manyara, Mohamed Ismail, ametamba kujibua mapigo dhidi ya Arusha katika mchezo wa maruadiano wa kusaka vipaji vya nyota wa kuboresha timu ya taifa ‘Taifa Stars’ ambayo imeonekana kutofanya vema katika mechi zake mbalimbali. Mchakato huo wa Shirikisho la Soka Tanzania (TFF), chini ya Rais wake, Jamal Malinzi, wenye lengo la kuibua vipaji, ulianza Februari 22 katika mikoa yote hapa nchini. Kauli ya Ismail, imekuja baada ya kukubali kichapo cha mabao 2-1 kutoka kwa wenyeji wao Arusha ambao walionyesha kandanda safi na la kuvutia katika mchezo uliopigwa Uwanja wa Sheikh Amri Abed jijini hapa juzi. Kenyans stamp authority in Kilimanjaro Marathon

Kenyan athletes have continued to stamp their ultimate authority in the Kilimanjaro Marathon after sweeping nearly all prizes of the annual event held here yesterday. David Ruto won the men’s race in the 42km full marathon with in a timing of 2:16:04 followed by compatriots Julius Kilimo and Victor Serem who clocked 2:16:17 and 2:16:32 respectively. In the women’s full marathon, Kenyan Frida Lodepa huffed to the finishing line first overwhelming compatriots Joan Rutich and Jackline Kithia to post her second victory of the race. The 32-year-old Lodepa, who won the 2012 edition and finished third last year, spent 2:40:11 to finish the race followed by Rutich and Kithia who clocked 2:42:46 and 2:55:19, respectively. However, Tanzanian Jackline Sakilu turned out to be the heroine of the day after winning the 21km half marathon in a record time of 1:12:43 leaving behind Kenyan duo of Cynthia Tonett (1:14:33) and Naomi Maiyo (1:17:47).  Beaming with extensive smile
