BMW Berlin Marathon to be held on September 29th 2013

Zacharia Barie, Suleiman Nyambui and Gidamis Shahanga kicking it out
The Berlin marathon is one of the largest and most popular road races in the world. Along with four other races, it forms the World Marathon Majors, a series of which Berlin by itself is offering a $1 million prize purse to be split equally between the top male and female marathoners.

Tanzania did not send athletes to Berlin Marathon for so long although Suleiman Nyambui has won twice in 1987 and 1988. Alfredo Shahanga surprised the world in 1989 when he took the early lead to the end and won the race with personal best time of 2:10:11.

Gidamis Shahanga ran his personal best of 2:08:32 when he finished 2nd behind the Australian marathoner Steve Moneghetti. Although Gidamis Shahanga finished 2nd among the all time Tanzanians who ever participated in Berlin Marathon, he is the fastest of them all in this particular cource.

QUESTION ?: Why Tanzanians can't afford to line up in the world famous marathons like they use to be?. How comes Nyambui and all the greatest runners Tanzania has ever had can't coach the young runners to become like them?. Is it that they don't want their records to be broken or is it sort of jealousy or what?. If they can't do it; why are they stuck up to the Athletic Tanzania as leaders?. Hopefully Nyambui knows the answers but I am not sure about that.
