TENNIS: Tanzania Tennis Association to host East African Junior Championships

Tanzania will host East African Junior Championships from January 11th to January 17th, 2014 at the countries’ famous sports grounds Dar Es Salaam Gymkhana Club located at the center of the city.

According to the Vice President of Tanzania Tennis Association Fina Mango the games will be organized by Tanzania Tennis Association in collaboration with the local sponsors.
International Tennis Federation has sent a grant to help for the championships. 
The championships is expected to include the arrival of neighboring countries such as Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Djibouti, Eritrea,  Ethiopia, Sudan, Seychelles and the host country Tanzania.
Tanzania is expected to have two teams (A & B) that will total 24 players for boys and girls who are to be between the ages of 12, 14 & 16.
“Is our expectation that we will outperform the field because we are going to use our home ground benefits” Coach Hassan Kassim said. “We are lucky that we have standard hard courts” Coach Khassim added.
