Ahmedi Magogo disqualified from Commonwealth Games

Ahmedi Saidi Magogo apata pigo mapema
Ahmedi Saidi Magogo of Tanzania has been disqualified from the men's -60kg class at the Commonwealth Games after coming in overweight for the event.

The Tanzanian was the only member of a 16-man list to fail to make the weight, with officials weighing him at 62.7kg when the judokas reported for registration.

Magogo was nearly unable to attend the Games due to issues with his visa, but he was finally cleared to travel to Scotland with the rest of the squad.

However, Magogo has now been ruled out, which leaves Massoud Kombo and Gervas Chilipweli as the only Tanzanian judokas competing at Glasgow.
