John Yuda Msuri: Hardly noticeable but his story tells it all

John Yuda Msuri of Tanzania head to head with Ethiopia's Kenenisa Bekele

John Yuda Msuri is a retired Tanzania long distance runner who until now hold two National Records in the 5000m and 10000m.

Born on June 9th 1979 in Dodoma Tanzania, Yuda started running after he was motivated by seeing other athlete's performances and fame.

During his career he won several international open competitions as well as medals when representing his country. Mr. John Yuda Msuri won several medals as follows; 

    2002 World Half Marathon Championships - bronze medal

    2002 World Cross Country Championships - silver medal 

    2002 Commonwealth Games - bronze medal (10,000 m)

    2001 World Half Marathon Championships - bronze medal

    2001 East African Championships - gold medal (10,000 m)
