Wakizungumza na Tanznia Daima kwa nyakati tofauti, baadhi ya wanariadha hao walisema wameanza mazoezi mapema kwa lengo la kujiweka fiti zaidi ili kufanya vizuri kwenye mashindano hayo. Thobias Mkude ambaye ni miongoni mwa wanariadha chipukizi katika mbio hizo, alisema amekuwa akijifua asubuhi na jioni kwa lengo la kufanya vizuri kuuwakilisha vema mkoa wake. “Nimeshaanza mazoezi asubuhi na jioni, lengo langu nataka kuipeperusha vema bendera ya mkoa wa Morogoro katika mashindano hayo,” alisema Mkude kuelekea mbio hizo ambazo uwepo wake ni kuibua vipaji. Kwa mujibu wa waratibu, mbali ya vipaji mbio hizo zinafanyika kudumisha umoja na mshikamano miongoni mwa jamii ya wafugaji na wakulima ambao mara kadhaa wamekuwa wakiingia kwenye mapigano kutokana na mifugo na ardhi.

Yesterday at 1247pm (local time), Ethiopian Airlines aircraft type Boeing 767-300ER with a total number of 213 passengers and crew, made an unscheduled landing at Arusha Airport.  The aircraft with registration number ET-AQWwas operating a regular scheduled flight ET 815 from Addis Ababa to Kilimanjaro and thereafter was supposed to proceed to Mombasa.  The aircraft was scheduled to land at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) at 1255 pm. The aircraft established radio contact with Kilimanjaro Control Tower at 1229pm and was instructed to continue with his flight and report when having the airport (KIA) in sight. Thereafter the pilot reported having the field in sight and was allowed to continue visually to enable him land in westward direction (runway 27).  After the pilot reported on left base of runway 27 (and having the field in sight), the Air Traffic Controller cleared the aircraft for landing. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has awarded SKY Network Television Ltd the right to broadcast the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, in 2014, and the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2016.  SKY has acquired the broadcast rights on all media platforms in the following territories: New Zealand , Cook Islands , Fiji , Kiribati , Marshall Islands , Federated States of Micronesia , Nauru , Niue, Palau , Independent State of Samoa , Solomon Islands , Tonga , Tuvalu and Vanuatu .  IOC President Thomas Bach said: “The IOC is delighted to have reached this agreement with SKY.
