Nyambui ataka kung’atuka RT

Image
Photo | Michael Matemanga   The National Director of Sports, Leonard Thadeo, has exhorted football referees in the country to observe fair play and abide by the laws of the game while officiating matches at various tournaments. Thadeo made the call during the official closing of a five-day referees and coaches course for the forthcoming U15 Copa Coca-Cola tournament at the National Stadium over the weekend. He said that in recent years there has been an outcry on biased refereeing and challenged the referees to live up to the public expectations of advocating ‘nothing else but fair decisions’. “After all, this is a career you have chosen to earn your living from and we don’t expect you to be lured by gifts or money at the expense of jeopardising your ...

Tufanye sensa ya vyama vya michezo nchini

Image

‘Hayo yakifanyika tutafanya vizuri safari ijayo kwani tutakuwa tumejua wapi tulijikwaa’

Team Tanzania during the opening ceremony in Dar Es Salaam Tanzania TANZANIA'S Makongo Secondary School triumphed 79-73 in a thrilling basketball match of the East Africa Secondary School Games at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday. However, the going is not all that smooth for the hosts as Makongo lost their three netball matches, including yesterday's massive 63-11 defeat to St Kitende of Uganda. Jitegemee head coach Christina Kabamba attributed her team's poor show to inferiority complex and ruled out any chance of advancing to the finals. Another Tanzanian side, Kizuka Secondary School, lost 36-30 to Shimba Hills of Kenya in netball. In volleyball, St Aloys Girls of Rwanda defeated Makongo 3-0 as Lycee De Nyanza of Burundi thrashed Tanzania's Kilabela 3-0. SOURCE: Daily News
