Slim drop for Taifa Stars in latest Fifa rankings

Tanzania now occupies position 112 on the global table down from 110 as ranked in October. The fall can be linked with a 1-1 draw Taifa Stars managed against a lowly ranked team, Swaziland, early this month. Swaziland were rated at position 160 last month, but after forcing Tanzania to a one-all draw, they have risen by two spots. With their recent qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations, Guinea is one of the best movers on the table ranking moving 17 places up to occupy position 38. Mali also moved up nine places to position 49 with Egypt being one of the biggest droppers falling 22 positions to occupy position 60.
